The Watercolours of Blamire Young

David and I both love watercolours, and have long admired Blamire Young’s work.

Blamire Young (1862-1935) has created some of the most sublime watercolours of the Australian landscape. However, his work is not very widely known today and somewhat forgotten.

This is now set to change with the publication of ‘The Watercolours of Blamire Young’ compiled in an amazing labour of love by collector Stephen Marshall.

This beautiful hardback, complete with slipcase, contains 650 pages depicting the artist’s body of work in watercolour. 2,000 known paintings are listed with 500 reproduced in large format colour and another 300 with smaller identification images. The comprehensive volume measures 30 x 23 cm.

The print run comprises just 500 books, 100 of which are released as a limited edition version, signed and numbered by the author.

See sample pages at https://meridianpublishing.bigcartel.com/. The book is $ 120 and can be ordered there or by email to the author at smarshall@meridianfreight.com.au.
