Fine art consultant David Hulme was happy to give his expert advice recently to someone who had bouth several paintings at a garage sale in Killara 13 years ago. … Hulme said she was a lovely lady who had bought the paintings for their frames and never heard of any of the artists – who just happened to include Lionel Lindsay, Herbert Gallop, Sydney Ure Smith, James R. Jackson, Arthur Burgess and Emanuel Phillips Fox. Hulme’s advice was that, rather than giving the collection away, it could go to auction.”
